Children's Mental Health Week - 1st-7th February 2021
Last week, we took part in Mental Health week across school. The theme this year is:
Due to current school closures, most of our pupils are currently learning from home but that didn't stop us getting involved!
The children all started the week with a virtual assembly presented by Mrs Cross, this focused on what mental health is and introduced the theme of 'expressing yourself'!
Each year group then completed an activity around this year's theme, take a look below at some of the fabulous work!
Dress to Express!
On Friday, the last day of Mental Health Week, we invited the children and staff in school and at home to 'Dress to Express'!
Our lives are full of colour and we can use colour to help make sense of how we’re feeling, who we are and
the world we live in. We asked everyone to dress in their favourite colours or to choose a range of colours that express how they're feeling and what they like!
This might be their favourite outfit, bright colours or accessories like hats or headbands! Anything that expresses them!
Ella, one of our Year 5 pupils, created a fantastic video for Mental Health Week! It is a lovely, uplifting video that explains what makes her happy! What a great way to 'express yourself!'
