What is Seedlings?
Seedlings is a nurture-based intervention group at Snapethorpe Primary School, designed to support children in Years 1 to 3 who may benefit from additional help with social, emotional, and academic development. In a small, supportive setting of 6–8 pupils, children take part in structured activities that build confidence, resilience, and positive relationships. The Seedling Room provides a safe and welcoming space where children can grow both personally and academically.
What Difference Can Seedlings Make?
Through Seedlings, children develop stronger friendships, improve emotional regulation, and build self-esteem. They learn to manage challenges more effectively, engage more positively with school life, and make academic progress. The group nurtures key learning behaviours, aspiration, independence, engagement, curiosity, and resilience, helping children thrive both in Seedlings and back in their mainstream classrooms. Each child’s journey is carefully supported by skilled practitioners, with ongoing collaboration between staff and families to ensure lasting impact.
