Anti-Bullying Week/ Odd Sock Day 2021
Odd Sock Day
This week (15th-29th November), our school have taken part in Anti-Bullying week.
On Monday, the children and staff took part in 'Odd Sock Day. It is a lovely, simple way to celebrate that we are all unique.
Anti-Bullying week - One Kind Word
The theme for anti-bullying week this year is 'One Kind Word'.
Kindness is more important today than it has ever been. The isolation of the last year has underlined how little acts of consideration can break down barriers and brighten the lives of the people around us. This is one of the reasons, that ‘One Kind Word’ was chosen as the theme of Anti-Bullying Week.
It is based around the message that one kind word leads to another. Kindness fuels kindness. So from the playground to Parliament, and from our phones to our homes, together, our actions can fire a chain reaction that powers positivity
Each class spent an extra RSHE session around the theme of anti-bullying. We asked the children to think about the kind words they could use to brighten someone's day.
Each child completed some lovely work which we have used to update our anti-bullying displays around school. Have a look at them in the pictures below!
Ask your child what they know about bullying and how our school deals with this.
The work produced from anti-bullying week is used to update our displays around school.
