Curriculum

September 2014 the new National Curriculum became statutory. As a school we ensure that we teach all the statutory requirements. From the introduction of the new OFSTED framework September 2019 we reviewed the curriculum to ensure a broad coverage.

Snapethorpe Primary School promotes British Values throughout the whole school day as well as in Curriculum teaching. Click on the following link.

British Values at Snapethorpe Primary School

Our approach is to teach a broad and balanced  ‘Creative Curriculum’ as we believe in involving our children in their learning and equipping them with the skills they will need to achieve economic well-being when they leave education. Reading, writing and maths are seeded through our Creative Curriculum and we link different subjects together to make learning purposeful.  Our Curriculum is also based on 4 key drivers that are personal to our school and reflect the social and educational needs of our local area. Our key drivers are the focus of every theme of work which is developed through school - they are Enterprise, Aspiration, Mutual Respect and Tolerance and Resilience
